FishOS (the FISH app and website at fishos.ai, operated by NewSunSEO) provides fishing information. Please read this page before using it. By creating an account or using FishOS you agree to it, together with the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
FishOS does not recommend, advise or encourage anyone to go fishing, at any place or at any time. Nothing in FishOS is a recommendation to go out, to stay out or to fish in any conditions. Words such as "best window", "high chance" or a high score describe only how likely fish are to bite, estimated from public data. They are not a suggestion that you should fish then.
FishOS does not assess, and never states, whether it is safe or unsafe to fish, wade, swim, walk a beach, pier or jetty, or be on or near the water. No score, color, alert, window or message in FishOS means that conditions are safe. The absence of an alert does not mean conditions are safe.
FishOS presents information for informational purposes only: estimates of fish activity, tides, weather and water readings, fish facts, and summaries of fishing rules. If you decide to fish, that decision is yours alone, made of your own free will and on your own judgment. FishOS is not a guide, a lifeguard, a weather service, a safety service or an emergency service.
Weather alerts, the chance of thunder and rip current forecasts shown in FishOS come from the National Weather Service and other public forecasts. FishOS passes them on as reports; it does not check, interpret or monitor conditions for you. They can be late, incomplete, wrong or unavailable, and conditions on the water change quickly. For official forecasts and warnings use the National Weather Service (weather.gov) and local authorities. In an emergency, call 911.
Fishing and being on or near the water carry real risks, including drowning, rip currents, waves and surf, lightning and storms, heat, cold, slippery or unstable footing, boats and other people, hooks, knives, and fish with teeth, spines or stingers. If you choose to fish, you accept these risks and you are responsible for your own safety and for anyone with you.
Fish do not read forecasts. A high score does not guarantee a catch and a low one does not rule one out.
Size limits, bag limits, seasons and local ordinances shown in FishOS are a summary of the official rules as of the date shown on each page. Rules change. The official South Carolina Department of Natural Resources regulations and local ordinances are what apply, and you are responsible for following them. Check them before you keep a fish.
Live conditions come from NOAA, the National Weather Service and other public sources. When a source is unavailable, FishOS says so rather than showing a guess. FishOS is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA, the National Weather Service or SC DNR.
FishOS is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, NewSunSEO and its owners are not liable for any injury, death, loss or damage arising from your use of FishOS or from any decision to fish. The Terms of Service set out the full terms.
